Terms of Service

1. Who these terms apply to

These Terms of Service apply to everyone who uses PawKiDex, including:

• Pet parents using Pawsport, Paws AI, bookings, PawMart or any other pet parent feature
• Vendors using the Vendor ERP, PawMart storefront, or any business-facing feature
• Vet clinics using FurrVet
• Handlers and isolation centres using FurrWings
• NGOs and welfare organisations using PawsNGO
• Anyone visiting the website or submitting a waitlist form

2. The platform

PawKiDex is a neutral aggregator — we connect participants in the pet industry without competing with any of them. We do not provide veterinary advice, grooming services, boarding or any other pet service directly. All services are provided by independent vendors on the platform.

PawKiDex is currently in development and pre-revenue. Features may change, be added or removed as the platform evolves. We will notify users of material changes.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You must not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Pet parent terms

Your data

Your pet's health records belong to you. You can export, delete or transfer them at any time. When a vet writes a verified entry via FurrVet, you can see exactly who wrote it and when. You control who has access to your Pawsport.

Paws AI

Paws AI is an information tool — not a veterinary service. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified vet for health decisions. We are not liable for any decisions made based on Paws AI output.

Bookings

When you book a grooming, boarding or handler appointment through PawKiDex, the contract for the service is between you and the vendor. PawKiDex facilitates the booking but is not a party to the service agreement.

PawMart purchases

When you purchase from PawMart, the contract for the sale is between you and the vendor. PawKiDex processes the payment and takes a commission. Refund and dispute policies are described at checkout. In the event of a dispute, contact us at info@pawkidex.com and we will assist in resolution.

5. Vendor terms

Eligibility

Vendors must operate a legitimate pet service business. By registering as a vendor, you confirm that you have all necessary licences, permits and insurance required to operate in your jurisdiction.

Subscription and commission

• The Vendor ERP is available at $100 USD/month (plus local tax) after a 21-day free trial
• Founding Vendors (first 88) receive lifetime free access — the monthly fee is permanently waived. Commission still applies.
• Booking commission: 10% of booking value
• POS transactions: a nominal processing fee of 0.1% applies to in-store POS sales.
• PawMart commission (without ERP): 15% flat on selling price
• PawMart commission (with ERP): 8–15% dynamic, calculated on margin (selling price minus cost price)
• Commission is deducted automatically at the point of transaction. You receive the net amount.

Listings and conduct

• All product listings, prices and service descriptions must be accurate and up to date
• You must not list products or services that are illegal, counterfeit, or harmful to animals
• You are responsible for fulfilling all orders and bookings in a timely manner
• You must treat customers with respect. Discrimination of any kind is grounds for immediate removal from the platform
• You must not attempt to circumvent the platform by taking transactions off-platform to avoid commission

Data you handle

As a vendor, you may receive pet parent data through the platform (names, contact details, pet information). You may use this data only to fulfil the service or booking. You may not use it for marketing without explicit consent, sell it, or share it with third parties.

6. FurrVet terms (vet clinics)

• Only licensed veterinary professionals may use FurrVet to write clinical records
• Records written in FurrVet bridge directly to the pet parent's Pawsport. Accuracy is the vet's responsibility
• FurrVet is a practice management tool, not a substitute for clinical judgement
• Digital signatures (P-DSC) on travel documents carry legal weight — only sign documents you have personally verified

7. FurrWings terms

• Travel requirements change frequently. PawKiDex makes every effort to keep compliance information current, but cannot guarantee accuracy. Always verify requirements with the relevant authority before travel
• PawKiDex is not responsible for animals being refused entry or exit at any border
• Handlers managing relocations are independent contractors. PawKiDex facilitates the connection but is not party to the relocation agreement

8. PawsNGO terms

• NGOs must be registered welfare organisations or operating under a legitimate charitable mandate
• Stray animal data submitted must be accurate. False or misleading entries are grounds for removal
• Public tracker data is visible to anyone — do not include information that could endanger animals or their carers
• NGO accountability data (vaccination rates, expenditure) must be accurate and up to date

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access
• Upload malicious code, viruses or disruptive content
• Scrape, harvest or systematically extract data from the platform
• Impersonate another person, business or organisation
• Post false, misleading or defamatory content
• Use the platform to harass, abuse or harm any person or animal

10. Intellectual property

PawKiDex, Pawsport, PawMart, FurrVet, FurrWings, PawsNGO and associated logos are trademarks of PawKiDex (pending registration). You may not use them without written permission.

Content you upload to the platform (pet photos, health records, etc.) remains yours. By uploading it, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it as necessary to provide the service.

11. Payments

• Payments are processed by Razorpay. Their terms apply to payment processing
• PawCredits issued on cancellations are valued at 104.5% of the original transaction amount and can be used for future purchases on the platform
• PawCredits are non-transferable and have no cash value
• Subscription fees are billed monthly. No refunds on partial months

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• PawKiDex is a platform connecting independent parties. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by vendors
• We are not liable for veterinary decisions made using FurrVet or Paws AI
• We are not liable for travel compliance failures — requirements change and verification is the traveller's responsibility
• Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

13. Termination

• You can close your account at any time. Contact info@pawkidex.com
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice
• On termination, you can request an export of your data before deletion
• Founding Vendor lifetime access is tied to the account. It does not transfer if the account is closed

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, where PawKiDex is being incorporated. For users in the EU, GDPR rights apply regardless of governing law. For users in other jurisdictions, locally applicable consumer protection rights are not excluded by these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
